Telephone scam targeting flood victims

BATON ROUGE- Gov. John Bel Edwards Office of Community Development is warning residents about scam telephone calls that are targeting flood-impacted families.

A release from Edwards' office said, the scam calls are asking people to provide private information such as bank account numbers or make a financial deposit to complete their applications for assistance.
