Over the decades that I have paid income taxes, I have filed in multiple ways: filling out tax returns by hand, using tax preparers, and using tax prep software. I have a business, so I need to file Schedule C. I also have deductions, including mortgage interest and retirement contributions. Over the years, my taxes have become more complicated.
