Trump Louisiana chair: President-elect is 'going to be a great friend to Louisiana'

The head of President-elect Donald Trump's Louisiana campaign says he believes there will be several opportunities for Louisiana residents to take on prominent roles in the incoming administration.

Public Service Commissioner Eric Skrmetta, speaking to the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, shied way from offering specifics, but he indicated that he has personally expressed interest in several jobs.

"He's going to be a great friend to Louisiana," said Skrmetta, R-Metairie. "I think you are going to see a fair amount of people from Louisiana moving up."
