Future of short-term rentals in New Orleans to remain up in air after latest delay

The New Orleans City Council will once again delay a vote on the hotly contested issue of how short-term rentals should be regulated in the city.

The vote was scheduled for Thursday but has been deferred to the Oct. 20 council meeting, the council announced Tuesday afternoon.

The delay was no surprise. Several council members' offices had indicated they were hoping to put off the vote as they consider their positions on the issue.
