Alford: Louisiana politics in 'new era'

Louisiana has to resolve a $304 million budget shortfall by the end of its fiscal year, and how lawmakers deal with that will be interesting, says journalist Jeremy Alford.

Alford, the publisher and editor of LaPolitics Weekly and co-author of the new book "Long Shot," was in Alexandria on Wednesday to speak with members of the Central Louisiana Chamber of Commerce about what might be coming from a special legislative session focused on that shortfall.
